Hello Darling!

My name is Silvana Perelli.
Charmed, I’m sure.

For as long as I can remember I’ve never quite fit in.

Even looking up my horoscope in the latest issue of Vogue was always complicated. Having been born on a cusp some magazines listed me as a Virgo and others as a Leo, so I would always look up both and go with the better one *wink*

It wasn’t until I was 38 that I received an official astrology reading and learned that even though I was born on a New Moon in Virgo, and spent nearly four decades believing I was a Virgo, I’m actually a Leo! Both in Western and Vedic astrology!

In that moment, so much of the ‘not fitting in’ started to make sense to me. It was actually written in the stars that this would be part of my soul work.

Suddenly it felt normal to be obsessed with interior design, devouring every issue of ‘the old’ House Beautiful, and also read tarot cards. It felt natural to host lavish dinner parties that would put Martha Stewart to shame and also host sacred moon circles. I could feel equally at home shopping the latest fashions in New York City and escaping to the Catskills for magical getaways with my witchy friends in the woods.

Finally, I felt like I could be all of me without feeling like I was living a double life anymore. This realization was a Dorothy clicking her red slippers moment – and I’ve never met a pair of fancy shoes that didn’t change my life.

I conjured Black Cat Cottage to empower
women through magic, ritual, and movement.

But beyond that, I wanted to create a place of Belonging, and help us all to remember this is actually within ourselves. The only place we need to belong is in our own skin and I help women find this by discovering everyday magic.
